Almost everyone looks forward to their wedding day with great anticipation. But planning a wedding is quite different than simply dreaming about it.
Keep in mind that for many, religion plays a significant role on both their wedding day and their actual marriage. You should talk about religion not only with your fiance but his family as well, to build understanding between you.
Purchasing a wedding dress can be expensive. When you are dress shopping, try looking for dresses that aren’t traditional wedding dresses. For example, a formal white dress, such as a prom or bridesmaid dress, will not be as expensive as a wedding dress. Even if you want the dress altered to change some of the styling, it could turn out to be cheaper than a wedding dress.
Spend some time writing your vows. These words are important for your new spouse. Understand that marriage is a very strong commitment that requires the both of you to make sacrifices. Express your unconditional love for your future spouse in your vows.
Check around for photographers who have glowing credentials. You don’t want to end up with a photographer that you’re not going to be happy with. Some excellent ways to narrow your search include talking to friends or checking out websites.
Luxury-loving and fashionable brides could choose to make their bouquet sparkle; try adding rhinestones, Swarovski crystals or even some diamonds. All this requires is some heat-fixed crystals or adhesive, small costume jewelry pieces, or an heirloom piece. To make sure it coordinates with everything else you are wearing, be consistent with the colors, size and cut of the stones.
Try to plan your reception for the afternoon. You will find that people are not so ready to drink heavily during the day, which will cut back on the costs of an open bar. In addition, a lunch reception is less expensive than a dinner one would be. You can either keep the savings or splurge for more expensive items.
Proper planning can ease the stress of a wedding. After all, the planning should be as enjoyable as the event!
